KARACHI, April 16: Sindh minister for planning and development Syed Shoaib Bukhari and local bodies minister Mohammad Husain Khan on Wednesday visited Landhi, Korangi and Malir to inquire about the problems being faced by the residents of these areas.
Other members of Sindh Assembly Aamir Moeen Pirzada, Ali bin Hamid and Hameedul Zafar also accompanied them. A large number of area residents and notables were also present.
The residents of these areas informed the ministers and MPAs about the dilapidated condition of roads, damaged sewerage system, shortage of water, absence of public transport, encroachments and supply of contaminated water.
They said doctors, paramedics and medicines were not available in hospitals while teachers and educational environment was missing in the schools.
They said the public transport owners were charging fares at their will and they do not drop commuters at the designated bus stops.
The ministers directed the concerned TPOs and other officials to help solve the problems of the people.—PPI
