Skin disease claims two lives

KHAIRPUR, April 15: Two men, Ghulam Pathan and Misri Rajar, died of Leishmaniasis in the Nara Thar village on Monday.

It may be mentioned here that Thar Deep and other social organizations had organized a free medical camp in Chondiko about a month back in which 1,657 people were examined. Of these, 147 were found to have been suffering from Leishmaniasis.

BOY KILLED: A boy, Rafique Maitlo, 12, was hit and killed by a pickup at the Jhaloji village, near Pir Jo Goth, on Monday.

PTCL VEHICLE SNATCHED: Four unidentified men snatched a vehicle of the PTCL, Nawabshah, on the National Highway bypass here on Monday night.

The four men were in a car. They intercepted the PTCL vehicle (GA-8591) and took over its possession after pulling out its driver, Shamsuddin Kalhoro, who they shoved into their car.

After travelling a distance of about 15 kms, they released Shamsuddin in a banana orchard near the Pir Maganyo village, Khairpur Taluka.

The Tando Masti police have registered an FIR.
