Women congress flays US

Published April 15, 2003

LAHORE, April 14: The third world congress of the International Muslim Women Union has condemned the unabated US aggression against Iraq, and demanded convening of the UN General Assembly to adopt measures for protecting the sovereignty of other nations.

Calling the US aggression state terrorism, the congress has also demanded institution of ‘war crime’ cases against President Bush and Prime Minister Blair for their illegal and unjust war on Baghdad.

At a press conference later, MMA Senator Dr Firdaus Kausar and MNA Samia Raheel Qazi said the congress held in Jakarta, Indonesia, last week had appealed to the Muslim rulers to abolish all military pacts with the US and expel all its troops from their respective countries. — Staff Reporter
