Four of a family among five killed

LARKANA, April 14: Three brothers, their uncle and another man were killed in a clash between two groups of the Abro clan in the Baqapur village near here on Monday night.

Peeral Abro and other armed men attacked the village on the outskirts of Larkana and opened indiscriminate fire, killing three brothers, Shabeer Abro, Niaz Hussain Abro and Khadim Hussain Abro, their uncle, Nabi Bakhsh Abro, and Shahid Hussain Abro.

The police took the bodies to the Chandka Medical College Teaching Hospital. The injured was also admitted to the hospital.

Two of the attackers, Raza Abro and Rahib Abro, had been arrested and the police had recovered two Kalashnikovs from their possession.

They are being kept at the Civil Lines police stration.

Earlier, Peeral Abro and Dur Mohammad Abro were attacked while they were returning in a car from Aliabad by Shabeer Abro and others near the Ganja Tunia village, Bakrani police station jurisdiction.

Dur Mohammad Abro had been injured in the firing and an FIR had been registered at the Bakrani police station.

Tension prevailed in the area after the incident and heavy contingents of the police have encircled the village to control the situation.

KIDNAPPED: A student and a driver were kidnapped and a man was killed by bandits in the Water Wako village near Kambar town on Sunday night.

High school student Saghir Hussain and driver Taj Mohammad were kidnapped from an Autaq in the village.

The bandits opened fire when the villagers offered resistance, killing Haji Riaz Ahmad, the bodyguard of local PML-Q leader Sarfraz Isran, and injuring Niaz Ahmad.

The injured was taken to the Chandka Medical College Teaching.

Meanwhile, the DPO suspended ASI Gulzar Buriro for negligence in duty. The ASI had not followed the bandits while he was on patrol in the area.
