MIRPURKHAS, April 13: Former federal minister and PPP leader Nawab Mohammad Yousuf Talpur, MNA, has expressed his fear that the current regime can collapse if it remained adamant to its stance on the LFO.

Talking to party workers and delegations in Kunri and Pithoro, the PPP leader said the LFO was an illegal and unauthorized document, which could not survive until passed by the two-thirds majority of parliament.

The PPP, he said, believed that parliament was supreme in running the affairs of the country, thus the party would continue to oppose it in and outside parliament.

He said certain quarters believed that mere the word democracy was enough to keep liaison with the commity of nations, however such tactics would not work any more especially when the process of democratization and globalization were interlinked for the future of the world affairs.

Mr Talpur claimed that rulers lacked foresightedness and political acumen which could be disastrous for the nations and Pakistani people could ill-afford it.

He hoped that the PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto would soon be back home to lead the nation. He said the date of arrival of former prime minister would be announced very soon.
