PESHAWAR: Uniform education system promised

PESHAWAR, April 12: The NWFP Minister for Zakat, Ushr, Social Welfare and Women Development, Hafiz Hashmat Khan has said that the MMA government would introduce uniform system of education in the province in order to ensure equal opportunities of development for all irrespective of their status in society.

He said this while addressing as a chief guest at an annual parents day function at Hira School, Nizampur, the other day. The JI district Amir Miraj-ud-Din advocate and the principal of the school, Abdul Naeem, also spoke on the occasion.

The minister said that outdated system of education was the root cause of our backwardness and mismanagement. He was of the view that solution to all of our problems lay in the Islamic system of education.

He called upon teachers and parents that they should concentrate on character-building of the young generation to enable them to shoulder responsibilities of the future.

Hafiz said that the government would encourage educational institutions, established in the private sector, which were showing good performance, in order to enhance literacy rate in the province.

Miraj-ud-Din advocate termed the establishment of Hira schools as a good omen for the people of Nizampur and hoped that the management of the school would work hard to maintain its performance in the future.

The principal highlighted the performance of the school. Later, the provincial minister gave away the prizes to students and teachers.—PPI
