Iraqi embassy remains open

ISLAMABAD, April 10: Iraqi embassy in Islamabad remained open on Thursday, despite the partial fall of Baghdad the other day to US forces, sources said.

But it was yet to know whether the mission had any contact with the apparently disintegrating government of President Saddam Hussein.

The Iraqi ambassador to Pakistan, Hamid al-Rawi, was not available for comment.
