Two brothers kidnapped

KHAIRPUR, April 10: Two brothers, Maula Bux and Shakeel Ahmed, were kidnapped by eight armed men from the Chattan Shah village on Wednesday night.

Both the brothers were working in their fields when the armed men arrived and kidnapped them.

When they did not reach their home, their parents went to the field and found several footprints which made them suspicious that they had been kidnapped.

Their parents along with the police followed their footprints all the way to Bagarji, near the Indus River. However, the former alleged that the police was not cooperating with them.

STRANGULATED: A man, Sachal Ujjan, 60, was strangulated by some unknown armed men while he was fast asleep in his house in the Sakhirani village on Wednesday night.

The man’s body was handed over to his relatives after post-mortem.

MAN RELEASED: A man, Ali Khan Wistro, was released from the captivity of dacoits on Thursday. He had been kidnapped on April 8 along with another man.

BURNT: A seven-month-old child and his father, Abu Bakar, suffered burn injuries when fire broke out in a house in the Ghulam Raza Katohar village here on Wednesday night.

Eight goats also received injuries.
