KARACHI, April 10: Four ships carrying containers and high speed diesel are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves gathered momentum after steady arrival of the incoming vessels. As a result, all the new arrivals including Bunga Masdua, Al-Ihssa, Hyundai Future to offload and load containers, Al-Cyonida to unload crude oil and Storm Lady to load naphtha were berthed.

Sailing was also brisk as seven ships departed: They are Beauty River, Mar Challenger, APL Cairo, Khairpur, Shams, Sorena and Maya. Five others, Tyhi, Al-Ishaa, Al-Cyonida, MOL Sincerity and Storm Lady are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side totalling 61,775 tons comprising 12,057 tons of export cargo including 1,025 tons of rice and 49,718 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Friday: Maya-4, with high speed diesel, Kota Tegap, Sima Bahar and Wan Hai-302, with containers.
