CNICs to be issued from point of applications

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, April 9: The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has changed the system for the distribution and delivery of computerised national identity cards (CNICs), which now would be issued from the point of submission of application.

The decision was a result of an inquiry conducted in view of the rising number of complaints about the irregularities in the distribution of CNICs within last few months.

A handout issued here on Wednesday said from April 10, applicants would get their CNICs from the same district registration offices (DROs), sub-district registration offices (SDROs) and Nadra swift registration centres (NSRCs) where they submit their application for a CNIC.
