PIA to Sponsor cup races

LAHORE, April 9: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)  has decided to promote its service by sponsoring cup event during the on-going Lahore Winter Meetings.

To begin with the national career has instituted the PIA  777 Super Jet Pakistan Cup, a term race for four-year-old and  above in class III and upwards, to run over 2800 metres on Sunday.

This is the longest distance race in the country. The winner will be awarded rupees 250,000. Those placed second and third will receive rupees 125,000 and rupees 55,000, respectively. —AG
