Last-gasp Winner by Atif

LAHORE, April 9: Four goals by Atif Yar Tiwana, including the last-gasp winner helped Musa Industries to beat Artex  7-6 in the Guard Filters polo here on Wednesday.

Artex due to their two goal handicap surged 2-1 ahead in  the first chukker as Taimur Malik who scored two goals in the match struck a goal for Musa.

In the second chukker, Musa levelled the score at 3-3 by scoring two goals while Artex struck a goal. Syed Hassan  Raza Gillani  scored  a goal followed by Taimur who banged  home his second for the winners to give 3-2 lead. But, Feroze Gulzar,  who scored all the four for the losers, scored his first in the dying minutes to restore the parity (3-3).

Musa came out with 5-4 lead in the third chukker. Atif scored twice and Feroze reduced the margin for Artex.

Artex levelled the score twice before Atif scored the winner. in the fourth chukker.

Earlier, four goals by Shah Shamyl Alam included a hat trick enabled Green Earth Recycling (GER) to earn a comfortable 7-3 1/2 win against 1st Law Company.

Aurangzeb Monno scored two goals while Agha Murtaza added  a goal. For the losers, who were playing with one and a half goal  on handicap, Shahzad Aziz and Mir Shoaib Ahmed scored a goal each.
