No more talks on LFO: Qazi

LAHORE, April 6: The MMA, after considerable discussions, has refused further contact with the government on the issue of the LFO unless President Gen Pervez Musharraf agreed to resign as chief of army staff.

“We want to see him in civvies, and are ready to help him get elected as a civilian president,” said the MMA parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Qazi Husain Ahmad.

He said this at the wedding of the former PML-Q president Mian Azhar’s daughter here on Sunday. He also alerted Gen Musharraf to the possibility of people’s anti-US feelings being directed against him.
