US, UK urged to help resolve Kashmir issue

ISLAMABAD, April 6: Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said of Sunday that the United States and United Kingdom should play their role in seeking resolution of the Kashmir issue according to the United Nations resolutions.

“This is the most longstanding and unresolved issue on the UN agenda so the US and the UK should play a role in their implementation,” he said in response to a statement of Indian Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha in which he said that “Pakistan is a fit case to be attacked by the US.”

“This is an immature approach of Mr Sinha, he is not fit to keep the office as Indian foreign minister,” Mr Ahmed said. “It is his dream that will never come true,” he said.—APP
