Pakistan-India talks urged

LONDON, April 3: Britain on Thursday again urged Pakistan and India to sort out differences through dialogue and engagement.

The British Foreign Office spokesman, when approached to comment on the statement by Indian Minister for External Affairs Yashwant Sinha, said the two neighbours could solve their problems through talks.

“The differences between India and Pakistan can only be resolved through peaceful means and engagement,” the spokesman told APP on Thursday.

The Indian minister was quoted by a news agency as saying that India might consider “pre-emptive action” against Pakistan.
