Delhi rues problem of importing N-technology

NEW DELHI, March 31: An Indian official on Monday criticized nuclear supplier countries for putting hurdles in the way of sourcing civilian nuclear technology.

“Because of technology control regimes like the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) and Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), the technology is not easily traded,” an official of the state-run Nuclear Power Corporation of India said over the phone from Mumbai.—AFP
