Four die in bus-wagon collision

LAHORE, March 19: Four people were killed in an accident at Begumkot, Shahdara, after midnight on Tuesday.

The police said a Faisalabad-bound bus collided head on with a passenger wagon. Ten passengers, mostly those travelling in the wagon, sustained injuries. They were rushed to the Mayo Hospital. Wagon driver Naveed and his helper Anwar were received dead. Of the remaining injured, Muhammad Mansha and Liaquat Ali died on Wednesday morning.

The doctors told the police that at least two of the remaining six injured men were in critical condition.

MURDER: A man was clubbed to death over a property dispute in Sultanke village, Manga Mandi, on Wednesday.

Sharifan told police that her husband Shakoor, 35, had a property dispute with Sharif.

She said Sharif alongwith his relatives, Khushi Muhammad and Ibrar, intercepted her husband on his way home and clubbed him to death.

Shakoor is survived by a wife and four children.

No arrest has so far been reported.
