103 Pakistanis deported from US arrive

By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, March 13: As many as 103 Pakistanis, deported from the United States, arrived at Islamabad Airport on a chartered plane on Thursday amid high security alert, official sources said.

The sources said majority of the deported people were those, who had been living in the US without a valid visa. “There were some other people, who were arrested on different charges and were jailed in the US, the source said. According to official sources, there was no female passenger among the deported people.

“There are many people in the US, who wanted to come back. Those, who arrived here were in distress and not feeling comfortable,” a senior immigration official said.

However, all the deported people were allowed to go after their statements were recorded by the FIA authorities.
