KARACHI: Ibad asks people to remain peaceful


KARACHI, Feb 17: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad on Monday urged the people to remain peaceful to thwart the conspiracies aimed at sabotaging peace in the city.

The governor vowed that government would accelerate its efforts to control law and order of the city and every possible step would be taken to arrest the killers of MQM leader Khalid bin Waleed.

Appreciating the services of Khalid Bin Waleed for welfare of people and development of area, he said he and his services would be remembered for a long time.

The governor also expressed grief and sorrow over loss of life and property due to rains in Gadap town.

He directed the officials to take care of the affected families and also issued directives to the provincial administration to take measures to shift people to safe locations in any emergency in Sindh.

The governor also directed the officials to provide vaccines for snake-bite in Thar district.— PPI
