KARACHI: Traffic Week from 28th

KARACHI, Feb 9: The Action Committee for Civic Problems (ACCP) has announced to observe Traffic Week in the city for the solution of the traffic problems, which will start from Feb 28.

According to a press release, issued here on Sunday, the committee would collect signatures of the citizens on a petition to be sent to the United Nations and other agencies.

This was decided at a meeting of the committee held under the chairmanship of its President, Baseer Naveed, who expressed concern over the increasing traffic problems in the city, which had become a threat for human life and for the environment as well. The meeting regretted that the city was engulfed in smoke, being emitted from the old buses and wagons.

The ACCP urged the government to remove the bus terminals, set up in the city, and construct more fly-overs and overhead bridges.—APP
