hoax Bomb calls: Two separate hoax bomb calls on Saturday disrupted the proceedings of the civil and sessions courts and the property branch of the excise and taxation department, leading to massive searches by the personnel of the Bomb Disposal Squad.

According to reports, the first call was received in the office of Saleem Qambrani, one of the civil judges, at around 1:15pm. He immediately informed the BDS officials who rushed to conduct searches in the premises of the civil and sessions courts, leading to evacuation of the bar and court rooms by the lawyers.

Some of the under-trial prisoners, who had been brought in connection with hearings of their cases, had to be sent back to jails.

However nothing was found.

Barely 10 minutes after the completion of search by the officials of the bomb disposal squad, another call was received in the office of the excise and taxation department (property branch) near the SRTC Complex.
