KARACHI: Hawkesbay scheme reviewed

KARACHI, Feb 5: A review committee, comprising two members of Karachi Press Club and officials of Lyari Development Project, has been constituted regarding implementation of uplift works at the journalists housing scheme.

This was informed in a meeting, presided over by DCO Shafiqur Rehman Paracha. President Karachi Press Club Sabihuddin Ghousi, Vice President Wali Rizvi and others represented the club.

DCO Shafiq Paracha assured the meeting that all possible steps would be taken to save the land from encroachment.

The KPC team was informed that survey and demarcation in Sector 3 and 3-A had been completed and estimate prepared for laying sewerage lines and internal roads. They were also informed about details of issuance and receipt of “O” Forms and subsequent issuance of allotment orders.—PPI/APP
