HYDERABAD, Jan 31: The EDO of community development, Hyderabad, paid a visit to Hussainabad here on Thursday to ascertain civic problems of the area.

Talking to a delegation of the residents, led by Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Mallah Tanzeem president Arab Mallah, EDO Mohammad Ibrahim Qureshi said that the government had prepared a strategy for participatory development to solve basic civic problems of the people through their consent and management.

He said that 30 per cent amount of the Khushhal Pakistan Programme funds was spared so that it could be utilized to implement the strategy.

He asked the NGOs and CBOs to come forward and join hands with the Hyderabad district government to make the cities and towns of the district more clean, developed and beautiful.

While visiting the Government Girls’ High School, Hussainabad, Mr Qureshi stressed upon the management and teachers of the school to create civic awareness among students from the primary level.

He also visited various parts of the area to observe the status of health, education and sanitation facilities.

He assured the residents that their problems would be resolved.
