Malik steers Danish Sports in semifinal
KARACHI, Jan 28: Danish Sports moved into the semifinal of the KCCA Zone III Division League cricket tournament, beating Modern CC by 18 runs on Tuesday.
Winning the toss and batting first, Danish Sports were bowled out for 173 runs in 31.4 overs. Aqeel Ahmed (48) and Abdul Karim (29) were among the runs. Waqas Khan bagged four wickets for 35.
Chasing 174 for victory, Modern CC were dismissed for 155 runs after 30.1 overs. Only Arif Khawaja (47) and Kamran Malik (34) batted with any degree of confidence for the losers.
For the winners, Abdul Malik picked up six wickets for 45 runs and was well assisted by Mohammad Amjad two for 44.
