UN observers visit border villages

SIALKOT, Jan 27: The Sialkot-based permanent UN observers on Monday visited Pakistani border villages hit by Indian shelling in both Sialkot and Narowal districts.

The UN observers assured the villagers that they would soon recommend a relief package for their villages.

BAIL PLEA REJECTED: The additional district and sessions judge has rejected the bail plea of former Muradpur SHO sub-inspector Zafar Iqbal and two policemen, Manzoor and Sanaullah, in the murder case of a Head Marala-based journalist and general councillor.

The judge fixed Feb 10 for next hearing.
