LAHORE, Jan 26: The job of assessing the income of growers for levying agriculture tax cannot be entrusted to those revenue officials who are already causing problems to agriculturists, says Punjab Agriculture Minister Muhammad Arshad Khan Lodhi.

He was chairing a meeting of the committee constituted by the Chief Minister to review matters related to the farm income tax at the Civil Secretariat here on Sunday.

The body is supposed to submit recommendations for adopting a rational schedule for realizing the tax from the growers.
