Dacoity bid foiled
TOBA TEK SINGH, Jan 26: Villagers foiled a dacoity attempt on Saturday night in a nearby Chak 242-GD Noorpur Basti.
Armed bandits entered a poultry farm but the owner, Muhammad Yousaf, saw them and raised an alarm. The dacoits opened fire when armed villagers gathered there. A shootout took place between them for an hour after which the dacoits managed to escape in the darkness. — Correspondent
