LAHORE, Jan 21: After three weeks of gruelling cold, temperatures have started rising for the relief of the people.
In the plains of the Punjab, the Mercury rose to two to four degrees on Tuesday from its rock bottom levels. In the city, the minimum temperature was 5 degrees C on Tuesday while it was 6 degrees C at Lahore Airport.
The minimum temperature in Islamabad was 3 degrees C, in Mianwali and Bahwalnagar 3 degrees C each while in Sargodha, Multan and Faisalabad 4 degrees C.
The respite from the cold wave also helped clear the pall of fog. Visibility that was reduced to 10 metres the day before yesterday remained as good as 300 metres on Tuesday.—APP
