KARACHI: MSc results announced


KARACHI, Jan 9: The University of Karachi on Thursday announced results of MSc, Home Economics, (Final) annual exams, 2002, MSc, (Previous), Home Economics, annual exams, 2002, and second professional, BDS supplementary exams, 2002.

In MSc, Home Economic (Final), Batool Rizvi, seat-773 got first position with 776 marks, Shelina Shams Damji, seat-763 stood second with 767 marks, Palwasha Khan, seat-783 also got second position with 767 marks and Bushra Ejaz, seat-774 stood third with 744 marks.

As per statistics, 79 candidates had registered themselves, of which 78 appeared and 71 got passed, with overall pass percentage of 91.02.

As per statistics of MSc (Previous), Home Economics, 106 candidates had registered themselves, of which 105 appeared and 89 got passed, with overall pass percentage of 84.76.

As per statistics of Second Professional BDS, 22 candidates had registered themselves, of which all appeared and 21 got passed, with an overall pass percentage of 95.45.

DATE EXTENDED: The university on Thursday notified that the candidates of B.Ed, session 2001, whose admissions were finalized within due date and they could not submit their enrolment forms and fees could now submit these up to Jan 25. The enrolment fee is Rs550 and late fee is Rs1000.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Examination Department of the university on Thursday announced that the date for submission of enrolment form of BA (Pass), BSc (Pass), BCom and BSc, Home Economics for the session, without late fee of Rs550, was Mar 11, and with late fee of Rs1000, it was Mar 25.

DOCTORATE IN LITERATURE: The university on Thursday awarded the Doctor of Literature (D.Litt.) degree to Prof Dr Moinuddin Aqeel, who was also the head of the Bureau of Composition, Compilation and Translation (BCC&T). He is the first to receive D.Litt. degree from KU during the last 30 years. Dr Aqeel, an author of more than 35 books, is awarded Ph.D for his thesis on “role of Urdu in independence movement”.—PPI
