PESHAWAR, Jan 4: The Awami National Party has said that it believes in democracy and will not accept the legal framework order (LFO).

This was observed at a party meeting held at the Walibagh residence of Khan Abdul Wali Khan on Saturday, which was presided over by ANP provincial chief Bashir Ahmad Bilour.

It expressed satisfaction over the ANP Afghan policies and vowed to continue them in the greater interest of the region.

The party reiterated its pledge to strive for the resolution of Kashmir problem under the Simla Accord and stressed better relations with the neighbouring countries.

The meeting observed that it was necessary for the solidarity of the country to grant maximum autonomy to the federating units.

Pledge to follow the policies of Khan Abdul Ghafar Khan by serving the people with dedication and devotion, was also renewed.

Asfandyar Wali, Begum Nasim Wali Khan, Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Haji Mohammed Adeel, Fareed Toofan, Syed Aqil Shah and others attended the meeting.

Later, the participants also held a meeting with the ANP Rahber-i-Tehreek, Khan Abdul Wali Khan, to discuss national and local issues.
