Mengal says IT getting maximum resources

QUETTA, Jan 3: Governor Amirul Mulk Mengal has said that keeping in view the importance of information technology the government is providing maximum resources for its promotion in the province.

Speaking on Thursday at a seminar “IT in International Perspective and Role of Pakistani Universities” arranged by the Information Technology University, Balochistan, the governor said that the federal government was paying special attention to the promotion of higher education in the country and had allocated maximum possible funds for it.

Mr Mengal hoped that all the three universities of the province, specially the IT University, would take full advantage of the resources provided by the federal government.

He expressed pleasure over the establishment of the Balochistan Business Incubator, System and Management Sciences Expert Cell and Dr Attaur Rehman Centre for IT & Telecommunication Research.

Earlier, the VC of the IT varsity, Dr Mohammed Abbass Chaudhry, in his reception address highlighted the importance of the information technology and informed the governor about the facilities being provided to students at the campus.
