QUETTA, Jan 1: Abdul Sattar, a murderer of two persons, was finally hanged in Machh Jail on Wednesday morning after postponement of his execution for five times.

Sattar had killed two of his close relatives, Baraan and Adam Khan, on a petty matter six years back in Loralai. The Loralai sessions judge awarded him death sentence.

He filed an appeal against his conviction in the Balochistan High Court, which rejected his appeal and upheld the decision of the subordinate court. Later, his application was also rejected by the apex court.

The President Gen Pervez Musharraf also rejected the clemency petition of the convict on Aug 19 last, after which Mach jail superintendent fixed Aug 25 as the execution date.
