KARACHI: Sea carnival parade

KARACHI, Dec 28: ‘Karavan Sea Karnival Parade’ would be held on Jan 19 on the Beach Avenue, Sea View, under the auspices of the government of Sindh, the city government, the capital city police, and Karavan Karachi, says a statement issued here on Saturday.

The basic theme of the carnival is ‘My Karachi — City of Quaid/Peace’. All districts of the province will take part in the event in which arts, crafts and folklore of the districts will be promoted through floats and stalls.

Farzana Saleem, deputy secretary of the education department, government of Sindh, has been appointed coordinator of the carnival parade. She will hold a press briefing on Jan 1 at 3pm in the committee room of the education secretary, in Tughlaq House, Sindh Secretariat.—PPI
