HYDERABAD, Dec 17: The University of Sindh on Monday notified that the five-year terms of all candidates, who appeared in the annual examinations of 1997 or prior to 1997 as fresh candidates from the college side, had lapsed and that they were not eligible to appear in the annual examination of 2002.

The notification stated that the University of Sindh had already notified on July 23, 2002 and had communicated the same to the colleges affiliated with the university through a circular.

It has further been notified that if such candidates had filled examination forms for the annual examinations of 2002, he should apply for a refund of fees latest by Dec 21.

After the due date, it added, his/her application for refund of the examination fee would not be considered, adding that the results of such candidates would not be announced if they appeared in annual examinations 2002 at their own risk and the fees paid by them shall not be refunded.

MERIT LIST: The University of Sindh on Monday released the second merit list of candidates, who have been provisionally selected for admissions for the academic session 2003 in bachelors degree programme in quota-oriented and general disciplines, selected candidates for admissions on merit on female quota, disabled, college teachers and Sindh university employees quota seats.

The announcement stated that the admission lists have been displayed at the Sindh University’s administration building at Jamshoro and the Sindh University Model school, old campus, Hyderabad.

The candidate can submit objections against any admission till Dec 18 while the final list of selected candidates for admission would be announced on Dec 19.

FIRST SEMESTER: The University of Sindh has announced that the first semester examinations of B.Ed., M.Ed. and M.A. previous and final (morning and evening) for the session of 2002-2003 would be conducted from Jan 23, 2003 at the faculty of education, Elsa Kazi Campus, Hyderabad.

The last date for submission of examination forms has been fixed as Jan 1, 2003.
