HYDERABAD, Dec 17: Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party chairman Dr Qadir Magsi has criticized the Centre for its interference in the formation of government in Sindh.

Talking to Dr Munawar Halepoto, the chairman of the World Sindhi Congress, who called on him here on Monday, Dr Magsi said previously the ISI used to interfere in the affairs of Sindh.

He accepted the invitation of Dr Halepoto to attend a two-day conference, being convened by the WSC on Dec 21 and 22, to discuss problems confronting the province.

The STPP chief also criticized the Punjabi leadership for manipulating election of the Sindh Chief Minister.

He termed the Chief Minister a dummy who would only implement orders of the Centre.

He recalled that during the chief ministership of Jam Sadiq Ali, a dacoity was committed on the sovereignty of Sindh by appointing Tariq Javed of the MQM as the acting Chief Minister.

He claimed the MQM was now demanding the governorship of Sindh.

Dr Magsi and Dr Halepoto agreed that main problems confronting Sindh were its sovereignty and usurpation of its resources.

They stressed the need for unity among the Sindhi nation.

JSMM: The Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz, at a meeting held in Sann on Monday, appealed to nationalist forces to jointly celebrate the centenary of the late G. M. Syed on Jan 17 and not to make this event controversial.
