PESHAWAR, Dec 14: The design work of the bridge over Gambila River near Lakki Marwat has been completed and construction would be taken in hand after payment of compensation to the land owners affected by the project.

This was stated by Project Manager Faridullah Khan while briefing Lakki Marwat Nazim Humayun Saifullah Khan at his office on Saturday, said a statement. Besides others, officials of Works and Services Department and Loha Associates attended the briefing.

After completion of payment to the victims, the construction material would be transported to the site, as appointment of all the staff for the project had already been completed, he said.

Humayun Saifullah said that the provincial government had released 50 per cent funds for the project, while remaining Rs30 million would also be provided to the district government after the launching of construction work.
