PESHAWAR, Dec 13: NWFP Assembly Speaker Bakht Jahan Khan has convened a meeting of the parliamentary leaders of the opposition parties at his chamber on Monday to fix the date for the assembly session.

Three days ago People’s Party Parliamentarians leader Abdul Akbar Khan and PPP (Sherpao) parliamentary leader Mureed Kazim had submitted the requisition notice, signed by 42 MPAs, with the speaker for convening the next assembly session.

The speaker held a meeting with deputy speaker, Ikramullah Shahid, and law and parliamentary affairs minister Malik Zafar Azam here at his chamber on Friday to chalk out a strategy for the next session.
