Honours for Rognoni, Green
LONDON, Dec 5: Argentina defender Cecilia Rognoni and Germany midfielder Michael Green were named International Hockey Federation (FIH) Players of the Year for 2002 on Thursday.
Rogoni has scored over 50 goals for Argentina while Green helped Germany win gold at the 2002 Men’s World Cup.
Argentina’s Soledad Garcia and Australia’s Jamie Dwyer were selected as women’s and men’s FIH Young Player of the Year.—Reuters
