10 injured as bus plunges into ditch

KHAIRPUR, Dec 5: At least 10 passengers were injured when a Rawalpindi-bound bus overturned on the National Highway, near the Kandiaro Degree College, and fell into a ditch due to reckless driving late Wednesday night.

The driver of the bus managed to escape.All the injured were taken to the Taluka hospital in Kandiaro.The police impounded the bus.

SUSPENDED: The DPO, Khairpur, has suspended ASI Basharat Samo of the A-Section police, Khairpur, over public complaints.

JSQM: At least 100 activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) observed token hunger strike for the third consecutive day on Wednesday against the police for not arresting the killers of Aziz Phul, general secretary, JSQM, Khairpur.

Their representatives told newsmen that there was an imminent danger of a tribal clash if Aziz Phul’s killers were not arrested.

They said that the accused were also wanted in some other cases but the police was not arresting them.
