Support to UK against terror pledged


ISLAMABAD, Dec 3: British Under Secretary Sir Michael Jay and Interior Ministry Secretary Tasneem Noorani on Tuesday held talks on bilateral issues and cooperation in various fields.

Mr Noorani informed the dignitary about the steps taken by Pakistan as an ally of the coalition force in the war against terrorism and assured its continued support.

He said that the government had already banned seven extremist organizations and was against all types of terrorism including state terrorism.

The visiting British under secretary, while appreciating Islamabad’s resolve to counter terrorism.—Reporter
