SUKKUR: Three men kidnapped

SUKKUR, Dec 2: Three men were kidnapped by a group of armed bandits from the Gharro Shakh village, near Ghauspur, on Sunday evening.

The bandits raided the village and took away Haji Elahi Bux, Gul Nawaz Shaikh, Inayat Mirani, Mohammad Jial Shaikh, Ali Anwar Shaikh and Ali Sarwar Shaikh.

Later, they released Bux, Nawaz and Mirani with a ransom note for the release of the remaining three.

So far 10 people have been kidnapped during the last couple of weeks alone but the police remain clueless to their whereabouts.

DIES: A pedestrian, identified as Amir Malik, was killed after being hit by a truck on the National Highway near Pano Aqil on Friday. The truck driver, after leaving the truck behind, escaped from the scene.

ROBBERY: Bandits looted a cloth shop in Pano Aqil on Friday.

The bandits, who were armed with automatic weapons, looted the shop after overpowering its owner and other staff.

The outlaws, who were riding a car, escaped with Rs32,000 in cash and over 1,000 yards of cloth.
