KARACHI: Reckless driving claims two lives

KARACHI, Nov 25: Reckless driving claimed two lives in the city on Monday.

An elderly man died in a hit-and-run accident in Nazimabad. Police said that Rehmat Masih, aged 75, was run over by an unidentified speeding vehicle in Nazimabad No 2. He was rushed to Civil Hospital, where he died.

The victim was resident of Siraj Colony, near Bangash Hotel.

A 60-year-old woman, Noor Jehan, was run over by a speeding Suzuki pick-up (KE-7311) near Water Pump in Federal B-Area. She was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.

The pick-up driver escaped after the accident.

An unidentified man died when he came under the wheels of Shalimar Express near Landhi railway station.
