KARACHI, Nov 25: Two ships scheduled to load and offload wheat and iron ore were allotted berths at Multipurpose Terminal and Steel Jetty during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying wheat and containers also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, Maria, Imperial, Saudi Tabuk, Yasa Aysen, Israa, and Sun were busy in loading/discharge wheat, containers and furnace oil, coal and iron ore respectively.

On the sailing side two ships, Adrekni and Israa were sailed out.

A cargo volume of 30,144 tons comprising 26,978 tons of import tonnage and 3,166 tons of export cargo, inclusive of cargo carried in 313 containers (Teus), was handled.

A ship P & O Nedlloyed Damietta was due to take berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal.
