KARACHI: 22 bikes, four cars hijacked

KARACHI, Nov 23: Twenty six vehicles — four cars and 22 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the cityon Saturday, the police said.

A car was hijacked and three others stolen in the Ferozabad, Bahadurabad, Defence and Brigade areas.

Twelve motorcycles were taken away at gunpoint by the bandits and 10 others were stolen in North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Korangi, Landhi, Baloch Colony, New Karachi, Gulistan-i-Johar, Kharadar, Nazimabad and other areas.

Police claimed to have recovered a stolen car (ACB-518) and three motorbikes (KCS-2412, KAQ-8124, KCV-2531).

ACCIDENT: A young woman died when she was hit by a train near Drigh Road Railway Station on Saturday.

The police said the woman, Shafqat Bano, 28, was crossing the railway tracks when she was hit by Bahauddin Zakaria Express. She died on the spot. The body was shifted to the JPMC for autopsy.
