KARACHI, Nov 18: Bandits stabbed a man to death in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Monday morning.

Police said that four unidentified men barged into the apartment B-204 at Rubaish Apartment in Block-13 of Gulistan-i-Jauhar. They collected jewellery and other valuables and tied the housewife and a child with ropes and locked them up in another room.

The intruders stabbed Zia Khursheed Siddiqui, aged 38, to death. They slit his throat and stabbed him in the abdomen. They got away with the loot.

The victim’s wife Seemeen raised alarm. The apartment’s watchman came up and untied the woman and informed police.

The couple has three children. Two of them were at school at the time of the incident.

Police sent the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem.
