HYDERABAD, Nov 16: Hesco had electrified 19 villages of Sindh during Oct, stated the monthly report of the company issued here on Saturday.
According to the report, 17 villages were electrified under the Khushhal Pakistan Programme whereas two villages were electrified under other development schemes.
Under the KPP, electricity was provided to seven villages of Khairpur district and 10 villages of Jacobabad district.
Under the development schemes, Hussain Bux Khaskheli and Qadir Bux Metlo villages of Khairpur district were electrified.
Under the expansion programme, the work on 8.3 kilometre high tension line of 11KV Samaro city feeder and 11KV Samaro feeder was completed. Similarly, the work on high tensions line of 11KV Nawabshah city feeder and 11KV Sui Gas feeder was also completed.
Meanwhile, various Hesco teams checked 1,766 power connections during Oct, which included 655 industrial, 13 agricultural, 233 commercial and 864 domestic connections.
The teams detected theft through 404 domestic, 81 commercial and 55 other connections. Action is being taken in cases of power pilferage, Hesco report concluded.
OPEN KATCHEHRIES: The superintending engineer and the executive engineers of operation circle-II of Hesco will hold open Katchehries on Monday at 11am to resolve the problems of the consumers on the spot.
This was announced by the chief executive of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company here on Saturday.
Hesco’s staff concerned with the relevant record will be present on the occasions so that the decisions on the complaints could be taken there and then, he said.
According to the schedule, the superintending engineer of the circle and the executive engineer will hold open katchehries at the office of the Sujawal sub-division, whereas the XENs of Ilyasabad, Badin and Sehwan sub divisions will hold open Katchehries at Bakra Mandi, Grid Station and the office of the Sehwan sub division, respectively.
