Quoting the elder brother of the victim, the police said Nadeem went into his room and stabbed himself. He was taken to hospital where he died.

CAR SNATCHED: Robbers snatched a car near Hattar, Taxila, on Sunday, and also deprived the owner of Rs8,000 and a mobile telephone set, police said.

Sajjad Ahmed, a resident of Sector F-8/3, was heading towards Islamabad from Hattar in his car (IDL-9636) when five persons, riding in a black car, intercepted him on the GT Road.

They dragged him out at gunpoint and held him hostage in their vehicle for four hours, while two of the culprits drove away in his car. They also snatched cash and valuables from him before letting him go.
