HYDERABAD, Oct 28: The Sindh government has increased grant amount for reconstruction/repair of houses of calamity-hit people.

The government of Sindh has amended the Relief department notification dated Aug 31, 1988 in this respect.

According to the details issued by Relief Commissioner, Sindh, Manzoor Hussain Bhutto, the grant amount for reconstruction of a collapsed Pacca house will now be Rs10,000 instead of Rs2,000.

For reconstruction of a Katcha house, the grant amount will be Rs5,000 and for repair of a Katcha house Rs3,000.

According to the amendment, the figure of Rs200 will be substituted with Rs2,000 per family.

SEMINAR: The Sindh Ombudsmen’s secretariat will organize Save Hyderabad seminar here on Nov 2.

Provincial Ombudsmen Hazi-qul Khairi will inaugurate the seminar. The speakers will include Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzza-man, Hyderabad district Nazim, Dr Hameeda Khuhro, Dr G.A. Allana and others.
