Reports reaching here from Chorbat valley states that the residents of Siksa Town alleged that the people of a nearby town, Pyon, were responsible for the damage. They also alleged that some employees of the Northern Areas Public Works Department and Department of Education were involved in the incident.

Some people of Siksa Town registered an FIR with the Ghanche police against 60 accused persons of Pyon.

In the meantime, the residents of Pyon, including women and children, staged a protest rally at registering the FIR against their relatives and demanded of the district administration not to arrest them. They marched at midnight towards Khaplu— the headquarters of Ghanche district.

Participants of the rally agreed to withdraw from further proceeding when the public representatives assured them that the issue would be resolved soon.

But, despite the assurance, the Ghanche police arrested 21 persons of Pyon.
