KARACHI, Oct 25: The Karachi Transport Ittihad, in a press statement on Friday, said that transport would remain normal on October 28. An emergency meeting of the KTI has been called today to review the decision for strike on October 30.
KTI leaders have asked the Oil Advisory Committee (OAC) to withdraw the decision of the Rs1.22 increase in the diesel prices, in view of the decrease in oil prices in the international market.
They have also urged the government to dissolve the OAC and demanded that the ministry of petroleum take control of the affairs, as before. KTI leaders have warned that if the ratio of increase remains the same the transport business will crumble down.—PPI
